Historic Granville will be hosting the annual Mayberry Outdoor Dinner Plays on May 5th & 6th in the Pioneer Village in Granville. Our popular Mayberry plays are based on actual episodes of the Andy Griffith Show, and this year's feature will be "The Best of the Darlings". The meal and play will be presented in our Pioneer Village with an 1820's log cabin as the backdrop for the performances. Dinner is served from 5:00 to 6:15 p.m. with play at 6:30 p.m.
The play features some of the best in bluegrass music as One Way Out Band of Lebanon performs as the Darling Boys. The plays will be done in conjunction with the Cornbread & Moonshine Festival which occurs on May 6th. Granville has become Tennessee’s Mayberry Town and is currently decorated in a unique Mayberry style. Granville is also the home of the
Mayberry - I Love Lucy Museum which is open Wednesday thru Saturday of each week.
