Granville is quickly becoming known as a Quilter's Paradise. The Tennessee Quilt & Textile Museum and Aunt Bee's Quilt Shop & Bakery have been instrumental in helping us promote Granville as a destination for this important and unique art.
Our newest program entitled "Beyond Barn Quilts" features painted quilt blocks on community buildings and Quilt Benches featuring over 20 quilt patterns painted on benches and located in the Gazebo, it is plain to see we have more than just a passing interest in this lost long creative gift. These projects were funded by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission
Quilts are more than fabric and stitches. They become keepers of memories, milestones and stories; creating profound connections across generations. Passed down to commemorate important family milestones like births and marriages, loss and grief, quilts provide us with a unique perspective of our family history.
Mark your calendars now and start planning your next quilting project for our 2025 Show!
