ARTISAN EVENTS

Historic Granville recognizes the talent and creativity of local artists and craftsmen and provides an opportunity for visitors to participate in learning new skills from these experienced artists. Workshops are planned throughout the year for artisans to share their talent with others who have an interest in preserving these crafts.

Workshops are limited to small groups so that personal instruction is available for each participant. Many workshop fees include lunch at T. B. Sutton General Store. Those who register for the classes will be able to take home a uniquely crafted item. All workshops require advance registration. You may sign up online or call 931-653-4151. Festivals - Artisans offer demonstrations at Granville Festivals throughout the year.

Artisan Gallery - Located on second floor of the T.B. Sutton General Store, you will find quality one-of-a-kind works of art Made in Granville, TN by local artists.

Spring Artisans Showcase - Each Wednesday - Saturday in April artisans will demonstrate their work in Pioneer Village. See the link for the April Schedule.

October Artisan's Showcase - Each Wednesday - Saturday in October artisans will demonstrate their work in Pioneer Village.

Year-Round Artisan Workshops - A variety of workshops are offered throughout the year. Please watch this website page for currently scheduled classes.

Historic Granville is proud to announce the opening of the

Artisans Workshop & Gallery.

This new facility will celebrate its Grand Opening on March 18. It is dedicated to classroom space for teaching and preserving traditional crafts, along with a gallery showcasing the work of local artisans. Featured works include textile arts, basketmaking, blacksmithing, broom making, quilting and painting, highlighting the important role these traditional crafts played in shaping our nation.

Historic Granville is thankful for the support provided by a grant from the Tennessee Arts Commission in making this workshop and gallery possible.

Artisan Baking Classes

Call your friends and sign up for a Baking Workshop with Page Gruber. Page will give you step by step instructions for milling your grain for maximum nutritional benefit. A variety of rolls and sweet breads are offered in her workshops.
