Granville's Fall Scarecrow & Artisan Festival

The 2024 Granville Scarecrow & Artisan Festival will be held October 2-31st with this year's offering a Decorated Scarecrow Contest and Hay Round Bale Decorating Contest. Entries in Decorated Scarecrow will be entered from Sept. 24th thru 27th at Sutton General Store and pre-entry is required in the Hay Round Bale Decorating Contest by Sept. 20th by calling 931-653-4151.  For the rules and more information visit the Granville website granvilletn.com.

The 12th Annual Scarecrow & Artisan Festival features a historic town decorated as one of the state's largest scarecrow festivals.  Scarecrows decorate the town in grand fashion with unique scarecrows, as well as fall decorations.  Your $7.00 town tour ticket is required to visit the Scarecrow Festival which includes admission to the ten venues of Granville as well as scarecrows in all buildings and in Pioneer Village.  It’s an unbelievable fall experience you don’t want to miss.  The festival also includes artisans of yesteryear demonstrating each day the town is open during October.  The festival is open Wednesday thru Saturday during October from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Saturday till 5:00 p.m.

Granville Fall Celebration will be on October 5th which will be the official opening of the Scarecrow and Artisan Festival and will feature Jazz on the Cumberland, Granville Quilt Festival, Artisans, Craft Booths, all types of music, great food, children's events and much more.

Granville will be having their annual Ghost Walk on October 18th and 19th with chilling stories, myths, legends and an unforgettable evening.  Visit granvilletn.com for more information.

Granville was chosen last year as the No. 1 Small Town that had retained it small town feel.  It is operated by 240 volunteers that work hard to create a "step back in time" place to visit.

Don’t miss the Fall and Christmas Season in Tennessee’s Mayberry Town of Granville.

Jazz on the Cumberland and the Ghost Walk on the palm reading online 18th and 19th sound like the highlights, right? I bet the town looks amazing all decked out in scarecrows. Maybe I'll catch some of the action while waiting for my coffee to brew.

The Decorated Scarecrow Contest sounds imposter game fun, but I'm really curious about the Hay Round Bale Decorating Contest. Did anyone enter? I saw this on my commute and thought, what a unique way to celebrate fall!
