Celebrating many genres of music, Granville is a place where music is heard, shared, and truly experienced.
This fall, Granville is hosting a two-day workshop designed to spark creativity and inspire aspiring songwriters of all ages. Whether you’re just starting out or simply curious about songwriting, this event offers a welcoming place to explore the craft and take your first steps or to sharpen your existing skills.

Mark Houser was a renowned singer-songwriter from Livingston, Tennessee, known for his contributions to the bluegrass and gospel music scenes.
​
He has written or co-written over 500 songs recorded by various country and bluegrass artists, including Rodney Atkins, Jack Greene, The Roys and Carrie Hassler. His publishing company, "Writers In House Music" is located on Nashville's Music Row.

Mark Houser's most recent album, "Gospel Train, released in 2025, is a testament his enduring passion for music and his commitment to gospel themes. The album features tracks like "I Still Believe in the Blood" which reflect on the comfort and peace provided by old hymns. Houser's work has been recognized with a Grammy nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album for "The Gospel Accourding to Mark."
