This year's Heritage Day includes the Old Time Fiddler's National Championship welcoming competitors from ages 4 to senior adult. The festival will be packed with Opry surprises including a prize package for the Grand Fiddle Champion that includes a cameo pre-show performance for Pickin' on the Plaza outside the iconic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN - revered as the Birthplace of Bluegrass.
WSM Radio will be broadcasting Live and Granville welcomes Bill Anderson, Country Music Star, for a special appearance. In addition, Granville will unveil a Music Pathways Marker in Honor of Uncle Jimmy Thompson who was born in the Granville community.
