Historic Granville: Tennessee's Mayberry Town Celebrates Fall Best of All!
In October, the scarecrows outnumber the residents. The Scarecrow Festival has become increasingly popular with over 300 wildly creative and unique creations lining the streets. The highlights of this year's 9th annual festival are Mayberry Characters on Parade. Meet Andy, Barney and friends of Mayberry on the streets and tucked away in buildings. The scarecrows and life-like characters invite you to step back in time to a simpler life. Many photo opportunities available
The Arts & Craftsmen Festival will feature a variety of craftsmen demonstrating their crafts on October 2 for our Fall Celebration, but some will be on hand all month long Wednesday - Saturday. Blacksmithing, wood carving, basket weaving, broom making and so much more. See schedule of craftsmen by clicking on the link below.
The Granville Ghost Walk on October 22 and 23, 2021 will give you an opportunity to hear some of the "Ghostly Legends of Granville". Hear stories and myths collected from over 200 years of unsettled spirits and true stories about the past in Granville. Purchase tickets in advance on this website listed under Events or call 931-653-4151. Tour groups are held at a 10-person maximum so don't delay in making a reservation.
