It's Base Ball Time in Granville!
Travel back to a time when America’s favorite pastime was spelled “Base Ball” and played with grit, skill, and no gloves! Join us in Granville for an unforgettable Vintage Base Ball experience as players take the field under the authentic rules of 1864. Bring a lawn chair and watch the action unfold barehanded, where even a ball caught after one bounce could send the batter out. Enjoy the lively spirit of the game from a different perspective as you step into living history.
Presented by the Tennessee Association of Vintage Base Ball, this special event brings history to life through one of America’s most beloved traditions. This statewide organization is dedicated to preserving and promoting the early roots of our national pastime, giving fans and visitors alike the chance to experience the game just as it was played in the 1800s.
The game will stress comraderie and fair play.
Spectators will likely be invited onto the field to join the fun!
