Historic Granville Announces Its Fall Schedule of Events for the 1950's

Scarecrows Aug18

Historic Granville has planned a great October month of events to celebrate the fall season.  The 6th Annual

Scarecrow Festival will be October 3rd thru 31st with this many new scarecrows of the 1950’s having been developed.

This festival is the largest scarecrow festival in Tennessee with over 300 traditional scarecrows and 100 life

like historical characters.  The festival is open Wednesday thru Friday of each week from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m.

and Saturday from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Granville will also have the 19th Annual Granville Fall Celebration on October 6, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m.

entitled Jazz, Quilts and Craftsmen of the Past”  The festival features a large Quilt Festival at Granville

United Methodist Church, Jazz on the Cumberland at Granville Veterans Park, Ralph Maddux Memorial

Motorcycle Show, large old time craftsmen festival in the Pioneer Village, 1860’s Living History Demonstrations

by 19th Alabama, Grand Opening of the Scarecrow Festival, Tennessee Museum traveling exhibit “ I Have a Voice-

Tennessee ‘s Africian American Music Heritage, craft booths, great food and all types of music. 

Granville will also be the annual “Haunting of Granville Ghost Walk” on October 26th & 27th.  It will be a little history,

little spooky and a whole lot of fun as you walk main street of Historic Granville.  Dinner will be served before

your tour and you will visit ten unique locations for a great evening.
