Historic Granville is currently having a Volunteer Recruitment Campaign during February to enlist additional volunteers for the 2016 season.  Randall Clemons, President, stated that since the Granville Museum began in 1999 where volunteers  are credited with making Historic Granville what it is today.  We began with seven volunteers that have grown to our present 189.  Our volunteers operate the Granville Museum, Sutton General Store, Sutton Ole Time Music Hour, Sutton Homestead Home, Village and Antique Car Museum, Mayberry Dinner Theatre, Festivals and Outdoor Dinner Musical-Journey  to the Promised Lane.  We are blessed with the best volunteers possible with a great passion to preserve our historic town and to share it with our visitors.  Volunteers work one day a month for three hours at one of the different locations.  There is something for everyone as we have so many different opportunities to be part of.  We are a great volunteer family from all over middle Tennessee and some as far as Atlanta that volunteer.  Some of our volunteers have a Granville connection but many just have a  passion for a small town.  Clemons stated that if someone is interested they can visit to review Granville as well as view our volunteer application.  If someone has an interest they may also call 931-653-4511.
